Liverpool to make Thiago one of the highest-paid at Anfield

To strengthen up teams for the 2020/22 campaign, several European clubs will be looking to invest in the summer transfer window by bringing in talented players to their respective teams.

Liverpool, who have been a little bit too quiet in the transfer market, have been reported to be close to completing the signing of Spain international Thiago Alcantara and the deal could be before the end of the week, and casinous online casino offering odds to fans for prediction on this transfer.

The report currently making the news from Mirror claims that the Merseyside club will be acquiring the signature of the 2019/20 Champions League winner from Bayern Munich for over £20 million and his wages will be different from other £20m+ signings.

Mirror confirms that the Spanish midfielder has agreed on personal terms with the Reds, and this deal is en route to make him one of the highest earners with the Anfield outfit only behind stars like Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.

Salah, who joined the Reds from AS Roma in the summer of 2017, became the club’s highest-paid player after signing a contract worth £200,000-a-week following his 44-goal haul during the 2017/18 campaign. While Liverpool broke their record to bring in Dutch star Virgil van Dijk from Southampton during the winter transfer window in 2018 handing him a deal worth £180,000-a-week equivalent to £9.36million per year making him the second-highest in the club.

The third on the highest-earning list for the Reds is Brazilian centre forward Roberto Firmino, who became third after signing a contract extension in back in 2018. A deal worth £173,000-a-week.

But now the reports are tagging the Spanish midfielder to dethrone the Brazilian forward as the third highest-paid player at Anfield with his four-year contract to be going over £36 million.

Should the Reds be able to sign him on time this week, he might just be available for selection when the Jurgen Klopp side faces off against Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday.
