Alex Telles agent waiting for Manchester United bid

With the summer transfer slowly approaching its end, we will be seeing several clubs knocking at other clubs with the hope of signing their player to strengthen up their team. In the transfer market, we will be seeing players forcing a move away from their club to leave for their dream club, while some are sold to help the financial situation of a club. Regardless of the reason, the transfer market is still open.

According to the report currently making the news, the agent of Porto star Alex Telles is waiting on a bid from Manchester United this summer transfer window after the club missed out on signing Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid.

The Red Devils were formerly keen on bringing in Reguilon to their team this summer but ultimately failed to follow Madrid’s demands of including a buy-back clause in the deal, allowing their rivals Tottenham Hotspur make a swoop for the Spaniard in a £28 million deal this summer and several best high roller casinos predicted this outcome for the Red Devils.

After losing out on the Spanish international, the Red Devils will be looking elsewhere to sign a left-back. According to A Bola, Alex Telles’ agent Pini Zahavi is waiting on a bid from the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team with the hope of getting his client a move to the Premier League before the closure of the summer transfer window on October.

Telles, who is currently running down the last year on his contract with the Portuguese club, will not be signing a contract extension as Zahavi claims that the Manchester club is preparing a bid worth £18 million for the Brazilian left-back.

The report claims that the Portuguese club were formerly looking to trigger the release clause of the 27-year-old – which is believed to be around £34 million – but having seen Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea lose interest, they ultimately decided to reduce their asking price for the left-back star before his contract expires next summer.

The agent’s confidence seems to come from the fact that there are less talented left-backs available for sale this summer after Reguilon agreed to leave Real Madrid. Casino français is placing odds on the potential outcome of the transfer.

Manchester United are not only being linked with a move for Porto’s left-back but also AS Monaco star Fodé Ballo-Toure, Rennes’ Faitout Maoiassa, and Anger’ Rayan Ait-Nouri. And while the United boss is said to be looking for talented youngsters to sign into his team, he would also prefer to have a player with a few years of experience on his plate.

For the 2019/20 campaign, Telles was able to rack up to 13 goals and 12 assists for FC Porto as he helped them complete a domestic double lifting the Primeira Liga and Taca de Portugal. In his four impressive campaigns for the Portuguese club, the Brazilian found the back of the net 24 times and created 55 assists in 192 appearances in all competitions for the club. With that kind of goalscoring record and assist he was able to arouse Solskjaer’s interest.
