The Three Most Interesting Teams To Manage On FM 2020 Outside Of The British Leagues

Football Manager 2020 has finally hit the shelves, and already football fans around the globe are obsessed with the new release. It is a date that all fans will have in their calendar from the beginning of the year as they look to achieve success with their favourite teams.

Most players will look to take charge of one of the bigger clubs with huge budgets so they can buy success as Manchester City have since their takeover in 2008, but others will start lower down in the pyramid and look to take their new club to unprecedented success.

There is no right or wrong way to play Football Manager, but there are a number of teams that fans should look out for and sign up to. Here are the three most interesting teams that you can take over at on Football Manager this year.

Rodez AF

You would be forgiven for not knowing who this team are, as they have recently emerged on the European scene following their promotion into Ligue 2 in France. This is the first time that they have reached this level in 26 years and is the highest they have ever been in the French pyramid.

They are a tiny club compared to most in Europe, and their team is average at best. They only have a stadium that can fit in 6,000 fans. However, there is a chance to achieve the rags-to-riches dream with this club as they are only a stone’s throw from Ligue 1 and playing against the big boys in France such as Lyon and Paris Saint Germain. They are a must-play for fans that want to start at a lower-ranking team but don’t have the time or patience to take a team from the National League to the Premier League.

Borussia Dortmund

On the completely opposite end of the scale, you can also have an enjoyable experience playing with Dortmund. In the first season, you will be tasked with trying to knock Bayern Munich off their Bundesliga perch, but there is certainly the quality in the squad to do just that.

Dortmund have been boosted by the arrivals of Thorgen Hazard, Mats Hummels and Julian Brandt over the summer, while they also have Jadon Sancho who is one of the best young players in the game. He has scored 18 goals and made 31 assists since moving to Germany in 2017. Not just that, but Dortmund are already in the Champions League, so you can also get the thrills that come with that in your very first season on FM.

Dinamo Zagreb

If you are looking to create a dynasty at a new club, then Dinamo Zagreb is the option for you. The domestic league in Croatia isn’t the best despite their success at the 2018 World Cup, but the biggest draw here is the club’s participation in the Champions League.

They have performed well over the past couple of seasons, and they have attracted interest from a host of big names. However, they have a squad full of young and talented players. Their experience is minimal, which means that should you give them playing time then you could transform their future. A few astute managerial moves will see them become one of the leading lights in Croatia, and you can be at the forefront of that as the manager.

If you are a big football fan and enjoy betting on the action, then https://www.unibet.co.uk/betting/sports/filter/football is the place for the best odds.
