I hope you enjoyed the player profiles this week and maybe some of you even found them useful. I did and I wrote them.
A couple of updates now from the week as we have been working like beavers behind the scene to prepare for Liverpool this weekend. The first being that two of our players were named amongst the player of the month awards.
Congratulations to Jordan Ayew and Renato Sanches for their placings. However, it’s not all good news as Cameron Toshack didn’t follow up on his success earlier in the week in the Premier Division Under 23 Cup. In fact, Toshack oversaw the Under 23 getting relegated.
Normally I wouldn’t criticise too much, but I again stacked the deck in his favour. Renato Sanches and Tammy Abraham were still available as they recover from injuries, then I sent Leroy Fer, Roque Mesa and Sam Clucas down to help the effort. All they had to do was get a point, which is all that was required to leapfrog over Manchester City. They tossed it away with a 2 – 0 loss at home to Sunderland U23.
Should Cameron be sacked? You Choose.
Join us tomorrow for the Liverpool preview and I’ve put the journalists off for a day. We’re going to get stuffed by Liverpool, let’s face it. Superstition means nothing up against the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané and Philippe Coutinho.
