Exeter beat visiting Bristol Rovers on Saturday in the England League Two, winning 1-4 (0-4).

The hosts Exeter started the match at pace and took the lead straight away early in the game. After only 3 minutes Matt Jay scored.

The team increased the lead to 2-0 early in the match when Matt Jay made his mark as he scored again. This time he netted in the 15th minute.

Exeter increased their lead to 3-0, as Timothee Dieng found the net, in the 22nd minute.

The team increased the lead again, making it 4-0, just two minutes later as Harry Kite scored.

In the 70th minute, Sam Finley scored, to reduce the score for Bristol Rovers. Bristol Rovers were unable to score any more goals. The 4-1 goal was the last goal of the game.

Bristol Rovers have had a poor start and have only three points from their first four games. Exeter claimed their first win.

The last match between the teams ended in a 3-1 home win for Bristol Rovers in April 2016.
