The home team Union Berlin and the visiting Bayer Leverkusen claimed a point each with a 1-1 (1-1) draw in the Bundesliga game on Saturday.

Union Berlin started the match well and took the lead early when Taiwo Awoniyi scored after 7 minutes, with an assist by Max Kruse, making it 0-1.

Bayer Leverkusen equalised to 1-1 early in the match when Moussa Diaby made his mark as he scored, with an assist by Jeremie Frimpong, in the 12th minute. The teams were unable to score in the second half and the game ended 1-1.

In the next round, Union take on Hoffenheim away at PreZero Arena on Sunday. Leverkusen play at home to Mönchengladbach on Saturday.
