Hosts Roma claimed three points against visiting Fiorentina on Sunday in the Italien Serie A. The game finished 1-3 (0-1).

Fiorentina were left with a man down early on, when Bartlomiej Dragowski was set off in the 17th minute.

Roma started the match best and took the lead when Henrich Mchitarjan scored after 26 minutes, with an assist by Tammy Abraham, making it 0-1.

Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo was sent off in the 52nd minute.

With 30 minutes on the clock, Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic scored, with an assist by Erick Pulgar, and equalised.

With barely 30 minutes on the clock, Roma’s Jordan Veretout scored, from a pass from Tammy Abraham, and gave Roma the lead.

Jordan Veretout again increased Roma’s lead, with an assist by Eldor Shomurodov, in the 79th minute. This brought the final score to 3-1.

The last meeting between the teams ended in a 1-2 away win for Roma in March 2021.
