Stats Zone: Strong second half performance enough for Rovers against Forest

After a goalless first half, Blackburn Rovers took the lead in the second in the Championship game against the Nottingham Forest. The home side couldn’t find a way back and Wednesday’s game finished 2-1 for Blackburn.

The first half was goalless, but straight after half-time, Philip Zinckernagel made his mark as he found the net to give Nottingham Forest the lead.

Straight after the break, Daniel Ayala found the net and equalised for Blackburn Rovers.

Right after this, it was Darragh Lenihan who scored ensuring that the team took the lead.

Nottingham Forest’s Jordan Gabriel was sent off in the 90th minute.

The teams play again on Saturday, with Nottingham hosting Stoke City at bet365 Stadiumand Blackburn hosting West Brom.
