The Data: A draw for Portugal in their home game against France

Portugal drew 2-2 (1-1) in their home match against France in the Euro 2021 group F.

There was no real shape to the match until Portugal took the lead just after the half-hour mark through Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored a goal, making it 1-0.

With 30 minutes on the clock, Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal and equalised. The 2-2 goal was the last goal of the game.

The result means that France have secured the number one spot.

The results in the final round of the qualifiers mean Portugal finish third and France finish first. France has secured its spot in the playoffs.
