Cardiff beat visiting Millwall on Saturday in the Championship, winning 1-3 (0-0).

The first half finished 0-0 and it took until the 66th minute before Aden Flint scored to give Cardiff the lead.

In the 70th minute, Aden Flint scored, to increase the lead for Cardiff.

Millwall reduced the score to 2-1 just six minutes later when Benik Afobe netted. However, Millwall were unable to make more of an impression.

Seven minutes later, it was Sean Morrison who scored ensuring that Cardiff increased the lead to 3-1.

It was Millwall’s fourth game in a row without a win.

Millwall have had a poor start and have only two points from their first four games. Cardiff are on eight points.

The last meeting between the teams ended in a 1-1 draw, with Cardiff at home in January 2021.

In the next games in the Championship, Cardiff will play Bristol City (home) on 2021-08-28, Nottingham Forest (away) on 2021-09-12 and Coventry City (away) on 2021-09-15. Millwall play Blackpool (home) on 2021-08-28, West Bromwich Albion (away) on 2021-09-11 and Swansea City (away) on 2021-09-15.
